Riddick 3 Back On Track

Production problems smoothed overIt was always intended to be filmed on a lean and mean low budget, but that apparently hasn't precluded cashflow problems for the third Riddick movie. Some scaremongering reports a month or so ago suggested that production on Riddick 3 had shut down, but thankfully it seems just to have been a temporary technical itch, and the Furyan's night-vision is now operational again.The reports came from Montreal studio owner Michel Trudel, who locked the production out of his facility due, he said, to some rather large unpaid bills. There was also said to be some griping from similarly afflicted crew members.Thankfully though, the line of credit has been restored. The various reports this morning are not naming the production's mysterious benefactor, although Vin Diesel made sure to give some props to Universal when he posted some artwork on his Facepage a couple of months ago.The still-not-officially-titled Riddick 3 sees the hard-assed Richard B. Riddick left for dead on a desolate planet, and is directed, as were the others, by David Twohy. Karl Urban is back from previous instalment The Chronicles of Riddick as Necromonger henchman Vaako, and there are rumours that Katee Sackhoff (BSG's Starbuck), Bokeem Woodbine and Dave Bautista are also along for the ride.Shooting halted in October, but is scheduled to start again on December 28.

"This case brings that fear of losing life to the forefront, something she's been able to tuck away since the shooting, and now she can't anymore because it's so close to home and so close to her own experience. She looks at a dead body at one point, and that dead body is basically almost a mirror image of who she is and who she could've been if she didn't survive the sniper shooting."
